Several bills to approve budget amendments will be heard on first reading:
1. Adding $200,000 to fund the Mokuhinia Ecosystem Restoration Project in Lahaina.
2. Adding $300,000 for a rescue boat and trailer for the Kahului Fire Station.
3. Adding $86,400 for the “Circuit Breaker” tax credit system in the Department of Finance.
4. Adding $550,000 contribution from Honua`ula Partners, LLC for the Kihei Police Station.
5. Adding one staff member in the Department of Water Supply.

The Council will also consider a resolution authorizing the execution of a park assessment agreement with developers for the proposed 26.5-acre Maui Lani Regional Park in Central Maui.

The Council will also consider a resolution to extend by two years the tenancy of Alexander & Baldwin on a 100-acre parcel used to cultivate sugar cane.
Councilmember Michael P. Victorino serves as the Maui County representative to the Hawaii State Association of Counties. A resolution before the Council, if adopted, would extend his service until June 2015.

Proposals to name the Eddie Tam Complex Field #6 as the “William “Blee” Amoral Sr. Field and the Kahului Pool as the “Coach Spencer Shiraishi Memorial Pool” will receive initial review.
The agenda includes Councilmember Guzman’s bill to prohibit tobacco products in County parks, including beaches, and Councilmember Victorino’s bill to ban smoking at bus stops.
