Make Your Voice Heard At This Week’s Maui County Council Session
In the spirit of Yuimaaru–community supports one another, especially in times of need–here’s a breakdown of organizations that are willing to help. If you are able, please review the resources provided or consider donating to some of these donor groups.
SUPPORT & DONOR GROUPS:
- HAWAIʻI COMMUNITY FOUNDATION’S MAUI STRONG FUND: Providing resources for disaster recovery, 100% of funds will go to the community. No fees will be taken. https://www.hawaiicommunityfoundation.org/maui-strong
- HAWAIʻI SALVATION ARMY: They will be providing meals in Maui emergency shelters. https://hawaii.salvationarmy.org/
- KĀKOʻO MAUI FUND: Funds will go to help Maui families and businesses. Donations up to $100,000 will be matched. https://www.memberplanet.com/campaign/cnhamembers/kakoomaui
- MAUI MUTUAL AID FUND: Volunteers are raising money to get support to vulnerable residents like kūpuna, those with physical disabilities, and those without insurance. https://www.paypal.com/donate?hosted_button_id=Y7J26SYUJFQU8
- FOODLAND STORES: Accepting donations at checkout to support American Red Cross of Hawaiʻi’s relief efforts. Foodland will match a portion of each gift. Shoppers can donate up to $249, donate Maikaʻi points, donate change, and round up purchases to nearest dollar.

- HAWAIʻI RESTAURANT ASSOCIATION: Mobilizing donations for those on Maui. MEDICAL ASSISTANCE:
- MAUI COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER: Offering crisis mental health services to those experiencing emotional or psychological distress as a result of the Maui wildfires. To receive the emergency services, contact Maui CMHC at (808) 984-2150 or via email at mauiwellness@doh.hawaii.gov or in person at 121 Mahalani Street in Wailuku.
- HALE MAKUA KAHULUI: Offering urgent care–including basic first aid, wound care, oxygen, simple burns and help for any kūpuna. https://www.halemakua.org/

MISSING PEOPLE/PETS:
