Council tomorrow considers water infrastructure for Central Maui, domestic violence awareness, County Manager form of government
Testimony to be accepted in Hana, Kaunakakai and Wailuku
WAILUKU, Hawaii – At its meeting at 9 a.m. tomorrow, the Maui County Council will consider a resolution to acquire land in Central Maui for water infrastructure as recommended by the Water Resources Committee, Council Chair Mike White announced today.
The council will also consider resolutions recognizing October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month and establishing a special committee to study the County Manager form of government. Testimony will be accepted in the Council Chamber and at the council’s district offices in Hana and Kaunakakai, Molokai.
The council’s Lanai City district office will be closed for testimony. White said residents of the island of Lanai and other Maui County residents may submit testimony by email to county.clerk@mauicounty.us or fax to (808) 270-7171.
