Agenda notifications available for council committees
WAILUKU, Hawaiʻi (Feb. 4, 2025)—Automated notification of committee-meeting agendas for the 2025-2027 council term are available via online subscription, Chair Alice L. Lee announced today.
Lee said the subscription list has been updated to reflect the eight standing committees created last month for the new term. For information on how to subscribe, visit mauicounty.us/agenda-email-alerts.
“The option to subscribe to meeting agenda notifications is part of the council’s effort to promote civic engagement and create greater accessibility for residents to monitor meetings,” said Lee, who holds the seat for the Wailuku-Waiheʻe-Waikapū residency area. “The council is committed to furthering transparency in county government and making it easier to submit testimony to the council’s committees.”
Committees provide recommendations to the council on bills and resolutions and provide legislative oversight of the county administration. Subscriptions for agenda notification during the 2023-2025 term expired Jan. 2, when the term ended.
Yesterday marked the start of committee meetings for the new term. For more information, visit mauicounty.us or call (808) 270-7664.
