2020 Charter Amendments

Section 14-1 of the Revised Charter of the County of Maui (1983), as amended (“Charter”), authorizes the Council to initiate amendments to the Charter by resolution adopted after two readings on separate days and passed by a vote of six or more members of the Council.
At the 2020 General Election the electorate approved the six Charter amendments listed below. Each resolution contains the language of the amendment and the corresponding question that was on the ballot.
