2. Restructure the Water Commission

• Enhance leadership and accountability in water resource management.
• Prioritize water use for public trust purposes and safeguard local water sources.
• Establish emergency measures to address water shortages and climate-related impacts.

3. “DROP” – Deferred Retirement Option Program for Police

• Create a program to incentivize experienced officers to delay retirement while continuing to serve.
• Allow eligible officers to lock in pension benefits while earning salaries, with DROP accounts growing from pension deposits.
• Support workforce stability by offering financial and career incentives, including vacation leave payouts upon program completion.

4. Support for Midwifery and Maternal Health

• Expand access to midwifery by legalizing traditional and cultural birthing practices.
• Develop locally accessible pathways to licensure for Certified Professional Midwives (CPMs) and Certified Midwives (CMs).
• Address systemic barriers to reduce maternal mortality rates, particularly among underserved populations.
• Establish a Home Birth Task Force to improve safety and coordination in maternal healthcare.
